I flippin LOVE my golden oats! The spices of turmeric, ginger and cinnamon really wake me up and warm my soul. I also occasionally sneak in some veggies, usually shredded zucchini, because for some odd reason, zoats taste better than oats ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I highly recommend making this super simple recipe for your cold, winter mornings!
Rejuvenating Golden Oats (v,gf)
makes 1 serving

½ cup traditional rolled oats
1/2 zucchini, shredded (optional)
1 tbsp coconut yoghurt
1 cup plant mylk
1-2 tbsp sweetener of choice
½ - 1 tbsp ground turmeric (based on personal preference)
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground ginger
Crack of black pepper (for better absorption of the turmeric)
Place all ingredients into a pot and cook on stovetop on high until it boils. Bring to a simmer, place lid and let cook for further 10-15 min. Top with whatever you desire and enjoy!
